Nancy Hohenstein

Foundation President

Nancy is a 20-year Gig Harbor resident, and nearly a lifelong Altrusan, as she attended meetings of the Spokane Altrusa club from the time she was 5 and her mother was president of that club.  A past president of the Gig Harbor Altrusa Club, her professional career focused on marketing, publishing and corporate management.  With her husband, Doug, she operated her own marketing and publishing firm for ten years, and served as Regional Director of Marketing for two national retirement living corporations.  She has 3 sons and two grandchildren.

Jan Hohman

Secretary

Jan Hohman moved to Gig Harbor about five years ago with her husband Jeff when he took a new job in the Seattle area.  After of couple of years of settling into and overseeing the remodel of their home she joined Altrusa to meet other women and find a place to volunteer in the community.  She is a passionate gardener and loves to babysit her two new grandchildren.

Dyane Nauman

Foundation Treasurer

Dyane moved to Gig Harbor in 1987, and joined Altrusa Club in 1991.  She worked for the Tacoma School District as Senior Systems Analyst.  Now retired, she is active in Community Service in Altrusa Club as their Past President and in the Foundation.  She serves as a district Director for Altrusa International's District Twelve, and is currently in charge of planning the regional conference.  At home, she loves to garden and care for her family.

Pat Jones

Foundation Vice-President

A long time businesswoman in the Harbor area, Pat has been a member of Altrusa Club since 1982, and has served as it's President three times.  She is currently Vice President, volunteers at Goodman Middle School in the club's Mentor Corps, and works full time at Rite Aid.  She is active in her church, St. Nicholas, and keeps up with the business community through several activities with the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce.  At home, she is a grandmother to her daughter's adopted children and a surrogate grandmother to her foster children.

Shirley J. Hansen Ph.D.

Foundation Past President

As CEO of Hansen Associates, Shirley is a nationally and internationally recognized consultant in energy management and energy efficiency financing.  She provides consultation and training to energy service companies, governments, utilities, multi-lateral development banks, and prospective customers for energy services. She conducts training seminars online and in person world-wide in ESCO and energy efficiency development and has authored or co-authored nine books.

Virginia Hardy

Director

Virginia was a charter member of Altrusa Club at it's formation in 1981.  She has lived in the area for over 35 years.  She operated an accounting and tax firm for 25 years in The Puget Sound region.  Although retired, she remains active in Community Service in the Club and Foundation, Harbor Covenant Church and additional projects while caring for her two growing grandsons.
